Chairman’s Report:

The chairman congratulated the Captains and players of both Senior teams for a fantastic season, the seconds won the league and the first team tied the first division.

The Juniors had another fabulous season with the under 17’s having an exceptionally strong side and the tribute again paid to Paul Taylor’s coaching and the ‘Saturday morning crew’ were thanked for their tireless efforts.

The Fundraising of the club had also been hugely successful and been instrumental in providing the funds for the club to spend £30K on much needed improvements to the pavilion and ground.

Julian Burgess gave a presentation on the first team events of the season, expressing his thanks to the players for a great season, noting that with improved practise a net regime the team could go to further success.

Hugh Davis paid tribute to the second team with special mentions to Christian South and Jim Redfern.

Lorna Young gave a presentation of the women’s section and reported that they had come 6th in the League. They had beaten Dintin and despite having 30% of their games called of due to weather, had continued to make further improvements with really keen youngsters and excellent support.

Official Awards: The Sportsman of the year was awarded to Chris Heard for heading a brilliant fundraising committee.

Special prizes were awarded to Lindsey Wood and Vicky Richardson for their outstanding contributions to the years fundraising efforts.

The Ian Wood trophy for the best individual performance of the season was awarded to Chris Unsworth for his 7 wicket haul against Compstall.

Rule Changes: there were no rule changes.

Subscriptions: Were to remain: Senior Players subscription £60, junior subscription to remain at £10, Senior Players levy to remain at £7 per match and juniors to remain at £3.50.

Life Patrons membership to remain at £100, Membership plus to remain at £20 and third team players to join membership plus at £20.

Captain 1st XI: Julian Burgess; Vice -Captain: Matthew higginbottom; 2nd XI Captain: Huw Davies; Vice - Captain: Christian South. Selection Committee to Remain as: Andy Chadwick; Jack Worthington & Ed Yardley. Auditors: Frank Fish.

A.O.B:

Chairman paid tribute to the contribution from John Matthews for his contribution to the Junior Section and welcomed his enthusiastic presence at committee meetings.

The members voted to make Robin Burns a Life Patron of the Club.

Meeting closed at a record 8.20pm!
