Hayfield Vs Stockport
On a wet and windy day Hayfield's young guns went to Stockport looking to make it 4 out of 4.
After another good start from Tom Jarvis and Chris Unsworth, Stockport were in trouble at 30 for 4.
But a stand of 50 put Stockport back in the game. More good bowling from Dave Higginbottom and
Tom Jarvis with Jarvis finishing on 5 for 27, leaving Stockport all out for 118.
The Hayfield boys went into tea confident of knocking off the runs!
A great start by Dave Aldridge (46) and Sam Hudson (34) putting on 70 for the first wicket.
But with Aldridge's dismissal wickets fell quickly, including a hat-trick by the Stockport skipper Mark Green.
Leaving Hayfield 7 runs short on 111 all out.
If the Hayfield's boy's have ideas of winning the league these are the games that must be won.
This could be the kick up the back side we need. Players need to take more responsibility for shot selection
and things could go well for the rest of the season.
